Interviews

The interview is the second round of the application process. Interviews are only scheduled on a case-by-case basis by the Dual Degree Program admissions committee; it is not possible for applicants to arrange an interview without the request of the committee. All candidates invited for an interview will be notified in early February.

Interviews typically take place between mid-February and early March and are held on the Columbia University Morningside campus and the Tel Aviv University campus. For applicants who are not local to New York City or Tel Aviv, the admissions committee also offers interviews via video conference, and the committee does not have a preference for one method over another. Interviews are typically 30 minutes in length and are conducted by a joint interview panel comprised of representatives from both TAU and Columbia.

The interview is an important aspect of the application process, and candidates should expect to discuss various aspects of their application file, their personal experiences, academic plans, and topics specific to their chosen academic program.
